Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Beirut

In a significant escalation of the ongoing conflict, Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, following an Israeli airstrike on Beirut. The strike, which occurred on Friday evening, targeted a building in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, an area known to be a stronghold of the militant group.

The Israeli military stated that the airstrike was a precise operation aimed at eliminating Nasrallah, who had led Hezbollah for over three decades. The attack also resulted in the deaths of several other high-ranking officials, including Abbas Nilforoushan, a general in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that six people were killed and 91 others injured in the strike, which leveled multiple apartment buildings. The aftermath has left the city in shock, with rescue operations ongoing to find any remaining survivors.

Nasrallah’s death marks a pivotal moment in the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, raising fears of further escalation in the region. Hezbollah has vowed to continue its resistance against Israel, with many in Lebanon mourning the loss of their leader while others brace for potential retaliatory actions.

The international community has expressed concern over the rising tensions, urging both sides to exercise restraint to avoid a broader regional conflict.
