Arbuckle Leads Argos to Grey Cup Glory with Stellar Performance

In a thrilling showdown at the 111th Grey Cup, Nick Arbuckle led the Toronto Argonauts to a commanding 41-24 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Making his first Grey Cup start, Arbuckle threw for two touchdowns, earning MVP honors and securing Toronto’s 19th championship title.

The game, held at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, saw the Argonauts dominate the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bombers 24-3. Arbuckle’s precise passing and the Argos’ formidable defense, which recorded four interceptions, were key to their triumph.

Toronto’s defense shone brightly, with three interceptions in the final quarter alone, including a 61-yard pick-six by Robert Priester that sealed the victory. The Argos’ offense was equally impressive, with Arbuckle completing 26 of 37 passes for 252 yards.

Winnipeg’s efforts were led by Zach Collaros, who threw for 202 yards and one touchdown but was hindered by four interceptions. Despite a strong start, the Bombers couldn’t keep up with the Argos’ relentless pace.

This victory marks the Argonauts’ second Grey Cup win in three years, solidifying their status as one of the CFL’s most successful franchises.
