Pecan Tassies are delightful bite-sized treats that are perfect for any occasion. Here's a classic recipe :

Ingredients:

For the Pastry:

  •  1 cup butter, softened
  •  6 oz cream cheese, softened
  •  2 cups all-purpose flour


For the Filling:

  • 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
  •  2 tablespoons melted butter
  •  2 large eggs
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  1 ½ cups chopped pecans


Instructions:

1.  Prepare the Pastry:

  •     In a large bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  •    Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
  •    Divide the dough into 1-inch balls. Press each ball into the bottom and up the sides of a mini muffin tin to form a cup shape.

2. Make the Filling:

  •    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  •  In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  •    Stir in the chopped pecans.

3.  Assemble and Bake:

  •    Fill each pastry cup with about a teaspoon of the pecan filling mixture.
  •    Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the pastry is       lightly browned.
  •    Allow the tassies to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing them to a wire rack to        cool completely.
