Europe Rejects U.S. Peace Framework Demanding Ukrainian Concessions

Ukraine suffered one of the worst Russian attacks in months when drones and missiles hit Ternopil.  European leaders have firmly rejected a U.S.-backed peace proposal that would require Ukraine to surrender territory and scale back its military capabilities. The plan, reportedly drafted by Washington and discussed with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has been described by European officials as tantamount to forcing Kyiv into capitulation. According to reports, the framework envisions Ukraine giving up land to Russia and partially disarming its armed forces. This approach has sparked alarm across Europe, where officials insist that any peace plan must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and involve both Kyiv and European partners in negotiations. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas emphasized that “for any plan to work, it needs Ukrainians and Europeans on board,” underscoring the bloc’s position that decisions about Ukraine’s future cannot be made without its direct involvement. Arab Nations Stand Firm Against Trump's Relocation Proposal

In a recent development, powerful Arab nations have collectively rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's suggestion to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring Egypt and Jordan. The proposal, which aimed to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, was met with strong opposition from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Palestinian Authority, and the Arab League.

The joint statement released by these nations emphasized their rejection of any plans to move Palestinians out of their territories in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the proposal, stating that the Palestinian people "will not abandon their land and holy sites". Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi also expressed firm opposition, highlighting the potential risks of expanding the conflict in the region.

Trump's suggestion, which he described as a way to "clean out that whole thing," was seen as an alarming escalation in the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people by human rights groups. The proposal has sparked widespread condemnation and reaffirmed the commitment of Arab nations to support the Palestinian cause and resist any attempts to displace their people.
