Snowfall warning issued for Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, parts of eastern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Hamilton, and large parts of eastern Ontario. The warning predicts up to 15 centimeters (approximately 6 inches) of snow, which could significantly impact the evening commute. Areas along the shore of Lake Ontario, spanning from Hamilton to Kingston, are expected to experience snow starting this morning, intensifying throughout the afternoon or evening. Visibility may be reduced, and roadways could become slick due to the snowfall. Peak snowfall rates of two centimeters per hour are possible. The snow is expected to taper off from west to east late tonight.

If you’re in these areas, make sure to bundle up and take extra precautions while traveling.
