U.S. Foreign Aid Freeze Sparks Global Concern

In a sweeping move, the U.S. State Department has issued a broad freeze on foreign aid following an executive order from President Donald Trump. The order, which mandates a 90-day pause in foreign development assistance, aims to review the efficiency and alignment of aid with Trump's foreign policy. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has approved waivers for military financing for Israel and Egypt, but other countries remain uncertain about their aid status.

The freeze has caused significant disruption to ongoing projects, including health services, education, and humanitarian aid. Critics argue that this move could lead to severe consequences for global stability and U.S. influence. The review is expected to be completed within 85 days, after which decisions will be made on whether to continue, modify, or terminate existing programs.
