Relentless Push: Russia Claims Strategic Edge in Ukraine Offensive

Russia’s top military commander, General Valery Gerasimov, has declared that Russian forces are conducting a non-stop offensive along nearly the entire front line in Ukraine, asserting that the “strategic initiative” now lies with Moscow. According to Gerasimov, Russian troops have intensified airstrikes on Ukrainian cities far from the battlefield, including a recent attack on Kyiv that killed at least 23 people and wounded 38. He reported that since March, Russia has seized more than 3,500 square kilometers of territory , captured 149 villages, and now controls the vast majority of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. Classic Coleslaw

 


 Classic Coleslaw is a quick, creamy, and tangy side dish that’s perfect for summer cookouts and potlucks. It’s made with a store-bought coleslaw mix, which saves time and effort, and the dressing is a flavorful blend of pantry staples.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise (Hellmann’s or Duke’s recommended)
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon celery seed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lb (about 7 cups) prepared shredded coleslaw mix
  • 2 scallions (dark green parts only), thinly sliced

 Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, mustard, celery seed, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and scallions.
  3. Toss until everything is well combined.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving.

This slaw pairs beautifully with BBQ chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, burger.
