Ukraine Claims Russian Summer Offensive Falls Short of Strategic Goals

Ukraine’s armed forces have declared that Russia’s much-publicized summer offensive failed to secure full control of any major Ukrainian city, despite Moscow’s claims of significant territorial gains. Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov stated that since March, Russian forces had captured over 3,500 square kilometers of territory and taken control of 149 settlements. Trump’s Name Found in Epstein Files, Sparks Lawsuit and Political Fallout

President Donald Trump was reportedly informed by Attorney General Pam Bondi in May that his name appears “multiple times” in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, according to a Wall Street Journal investigation. These documents, reviewed during a Justice Department probe, contain unverified claims and hearsay about individuals who had associated with Epstein prior to his 2006 conviction.

Despite being briefed, Trump publicly denied knowledge of his name appearing in the files. The Justice Department ultimately decided not to release further Epstein-related materials, citing the presence of child sexual abuse content and the need to protect victim identities.

The controversy intensified after the Journal published details of a 2003 birthday letter allegedly sent by Trump to Epstein, which included a sexually suggestive drawing and cryptic messages. Trump denied authoring the note and has since filed a $20 billion defamation lawsuit against the Journal, its parent company, and its reporters.

The DOJ has also sought to unseal grand jury transcripts from Epstein’s earlier investigations, but federal judges have denied the requests due to legal constraints.

This revelation has sparked backlash among Trump’s supporters, many of whom had expected the Epstein files to implicate political opponents. The case continues to fuel public demand for transparency and accountability in the handling of Epstein’s legacy.
