U.S. Officials Say Iran’s New Supreme Leader Gravely Wounded Amid Escalating Conflict

Protesters hold posters of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his son, Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, during a protest marking al-Quds Day (Jerusalem Day), after Friday prayers at Fatih Mosque in Istanbul. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has confirmed that Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei , was seriously wounded and likely disfigured during the opening phase of U.S. and Israeli military strikes. Speaking at a Pentagon briefing, Hegseth described Iran’s leadership as “desperate and hiding,” asserting that Khamenei has gone underground following injuries sustained in the attacks.  Reports from multiple outlets indicate that Khamenei has not appeared publicly since the conflict began, fueling speculation about the severity of his condition. Trump’s Chilling New Courthouse Rant Gets Put On Ice By Critics

Former President Donald Trump found himself in a chilly situation during his trial in the Stormy Daniels hush money case. Complaining about the low temperatures in the courtroom, he lamented, “I’m sitting here for days now, from morning til night, in that freezing room, freezing, everybody was freezing in there.”

By most accounts, the courtroom was indeed quite cold. Trump’s attorney even asked the judge to raise the temperature by “just one degree,” but the judge declined, preferring a cooler room over a warmer one. Social media had a field day with Trump’s frosty complaints. Critics pointed out that the cool temperatures might help keep him awake, especially since he reportedly fell asleep in court on days one and two. Some reactions were less sympathetic, with tweets like:

  • “Somebody get this guy some cheese  to go with that… ‘whine’…”
  • “They are keeping the courtroom ‘freezing’ to keep Trump awake.”
  • “His ultimate destination? Will be hot. Promise you.”

Perhaps Trump needs a winter parka for the trial or even one of those foil blankets he once gave to immigrant children. As a former casino owner, he should know that cold temperatures keep people alert But don’t worry, his jail cell will likely be warmer.

In the end, Trump’s chilling courtroom rant got a frosty reception from critics. Whether he’ll warm up to the proceedings remains to be seen.
