US Military Strikes Houthi Targets in Sanaa

The U.S. military conducted precision airstrikes on Saturday against a missile storage facility and a command-and-control facility operated by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa. The strikes aimed to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, including attacks against U.S. Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. military also targeted multiple Houthi one-way drones and an anti-ship cruise missile over the Red Sea. This operation follows a similar attack last week by U.S. aircraft against a Houthi command-and-control facility. The Iran-backed group has been attacking commercial shipping in the Red Sea for over a year, claiming solidarity with Palestinians in Israel’s ongoing conflict.

The airstrikes are part of a broader effort to counter Houthi aggression and protect international shipping lanes. The U.S. military’s Central Command emphasized that these strikes are crucial to maintaining stability and security in the region.
