Chaos at Liverpool Parade: British Man Detained After Car Hits Fans

Liverpool's Premier League title celebrations took a tragic turn on Monday evening when a car plowed into a crowd of fans during the victory parade. The incident occurred in the city center, where thousands had gathered to celebrate the club’s triumph.  

According to police reports, a 53-year-old British man was detained at the scene after his vehicle collided with multiple pedestrians. Emergency services rushed to the area, with ambulances and fire crews providing immediate assistance to the injured.  

Eyewitnesses described the horrifying moment when the car sped into the crowd, causing panic and chaos. Some fans attempted to reach the driver before authorities intervened. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the incident "appalling" and expressed his concern for those affected.  

Liverpool FC issued a statement offering support to the victims and confirming their cooperation with local authorities. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.  

The celebrations, meant to be a joyous occasion, were overshadowed by the shocking event, leaving the city in distress. Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation as they continue their inquiries.
