Nerve Block Therapy Offers Hope for Migraine Sufferers

Calgary neurologist Dr. Serena Orr injecting a patient to help treat migraines.  Researchers in Calgary are spotlighting a promising treatment for people living with severe migraines: occipital nerve blocks . This approach involves injecting a small amount of anesthetic near the occipital nerves at the back of the head, which can interrupt pain signals and provide rapid relief. Neurologist Dr. Serena Orr of the University of Calgary has been at the forefront of this research, recommending updates to the American Headache Society’s guidelines for emergency departments. The new recommendations encourage doctors to consider nerve blocks as a frontline option for patients arriving with debilitating migraine attacks. Starship's Latest Flight Ends in Turbulence: SpaceX Faces Another Setback

SpaceX launched its Starship rocket once again, aiming to push the boundaries of space exploration. However, despite high hopes, the mission ended in disappointment as the spacecraft tumbled out of control and ultimately broke apart.

The 403-foot rocket lifted off from Starbase, Texas, marking its ninth test flight. SpaceX had planned to deploy mock satellites, but a malfunctioning payload door prevented the release. Shortly after, the spacecraft began spinning uncontrollably, leading to an uncontrolled descent into the Indian Ocean

CEO Elon Musk acknowledged the setback but emphasized that this flight was a "big improvement" compared to previous attempts, which ended in fiery explosions over the Atlantic. Despite the failure, Musk remains optimistic, promising a faster launch cadence, with a new Starship flight every three to four weeks

NASA is closely watching these developments, as SpaceX's Starship is a crucial component of future moon and Mars missions. While this latest test did not go as planned, SpaceX continues to refine its technology, learning from each attempt to bring humanity closer to interplanetary travel.
