A Grandmother’s Plea: Demand for Justice in Sullivan Siblings’ Vanishing
In a heartbreaking appeal that has gripped the local community, Eleanor Sullivan—the grandmother of missing siblings Jack and Lilly Sullivan—has called for a full-scale public inquiry into their unexplained disappearance nearly two weeks ago.
Jack, 9, and Lilly, 7, were last seen playing in their suburban Whitby neighborhood on the afternoon of July 28. Despite extensive search efforts by local police and volunteers, no significant leads have emerged.
Eleanor Sullivan appeared in front of town hall over the weekend, flanked by family members and holding photographs of the children. “This silence is unbearable,” she said. “We need answers. We need help from every level of government, and we need transparency.”
Community members have rallied around the Sullivan family, organizing vigils and distributing flyers. Many now echo Eleanor’s demand for an independent inquiry, urging officials to scrutinize the investigative process and uncover any overlooked details that may lead to Jack and Lilly’s return.
Local authorities have yet to respond formally to the request, but public pressure continues to mount.
