Farage Unveils £10 Billion ‘Operation Restoring Justice’ to Deport Small Boat Migrants
Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK party, has announced a sweeping £10 billion plan aimed at what he calls “mass deportations” of asylum seekers arriving in Britain via small boats. Under the proposal, named Operation Restoring Justice, the UK would withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights, overhaul domestic human rights laws, and bar such arrivals from claiming asylum.
The plan includes converting disused RAF bases into detention centres capable of holding 24,000 people, operating five deportation flights daily, and striking repatriation deals with countries such as Afghanistan and Eritrea. Farage also suggested British overseas territories like Ascension Island could serve as holding sites if other measures fail.
Critics warn the proposals would face significant legal and diplomatic hurdles, while supporters argue they are necessary to address what Farage describes as a “massive crisis” in Britain’s immigration system.
