What's Actually Happening When you need to change something on a tax return you've already filed — say you forgot a slip, need to update a deduction, or want to claim a credit you missed — you submit what's called a T1 adjustment request. The CRA sorts these into two speeds: Routine requests (filed online through your CRA My Account or certified tax software) have a service standard of just 2 weeks . Netanyahu Balances Gaza City Offensive Plans with Renewed Hostage Talks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel will immediately resume negotiations aimed at securing the release of all hostages held in Gaza and bringing an end to the nearly two-year war — but only under terms acceptable to Israel.

The statement came as Netanyahu met soldiers near the Gaza border, reaffirming his intention to approve military plans for capturing Gaza City and defeating Hamas. The renewed talks follow a temporary ceasefire proposal from Egypt and Qatar, which Hamas accepted earlier this week. The plan calls for a 60-day truce, the release of 10 living hostages and 18 bodies, and the freeing of about 200 long-serving Palestinian prisoners by Israel.

While Israel insists that all 50 remaining hostages — around 20 believed to be alive — must be released in any deal, the military continues preparations for a large-scale Gaza City operation. This includes the call-up of 60,000 reservists, despite international appeals to halt the offensive.

In Gaza City, hundreds of residents staged a rare protest against the war, carrying banners reading “Save Gaza” and “Gaza is dying by the killing, hunger and oppression”. The demonstrations underscored the growing humanitarian crisis, as both sides weigh the possibility of a ceasefire against the backdrop of escalating military action.
