Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem on August 10, Netanyahu emphasized that the offensive aims to dismantle Hamas’s final strongholds in Gaza City and central camps, which he claims is essential to achieving lasting peace.

Netanyahu outlined a plan that includes establishing safe zones for civilians to evacuate combat areas, promising access to food, water, and medical care. He also reiterated that Israel does not intend to occupy Gaza but seeks to demilitarize the region and install a civilian administration unaffiliated with Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.
