Deadly Shooting at Dallas ICE Office Leaves Two Dead, Others Injured

A sniper-style attack at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas left two people dead, including the suspected gunman, and at least two others wounded early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the shooter, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, opened fire from the roof of a nearby building around 6:40 a.m., targeting detainees being processed at the facility. One victim died at the scene, while two others were rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Federal officials confirmed that all victims were detainees and no ICE officers were harmed. Bullet casings recovered at the scene reportedly contained anti-ICE messages, leading investigators to treat the incident as a targeted, ideologically motivated attack.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem condemned the violence, calling it part of a troubling rise in attacks against immigration authorities. The FBI and Dallas Police are jointly investigating the shooting.

Traffic along Interstate 35E was shut down for hours as emergency responders secured the area. Officials say the investigation remains active, with more details expected in the coming days.
