Trump Signals Iran War Deal ‘Soon’ as Strait of Hormuz Stays Open, Easing Market Fears

The waterway, which handles roughly one‑fifth of the world’s oil supply, has been a central concern for investors since the conflict began. Military Support Considered in Expanding Search for Missing Alberta Boy

The search continues for five-year-old Darius Macdougall, who vanished over the weekend from a campsite near Island Lake Campground, south of Crowsnest Pass.

Rescue teams in southern Alberta are intensifying efforts to locate five-year-old Darius Macdougall, who disappeared Sunday from a campsite near Island Lake Campground in the Crowsnest Pass region.

More than 100 searchers, supported by helicopters, drones, and search dogs, have been combing rugged terrain and waterways. Authorities confirmed that discussions are underway with the Canadian Armed Forces to determine what additional resources could aid the mission.

Adam Kennedy of Alberta Search and Rescue said the search radius has been expanded from three to over six kilometres, with crews working around the clock. Despite the challenges of steep slopes, dense forest, and rocky ground, officials remain hopeful.

RCMP noted that while foul play is not suspected, the investigation remains broad. Darius, who is autistic, may not respond to rescuers calling his name, adding complexity to the search.

Search teams continue to rotate shifts, with many volunteers resting at a nearby Bible camp before returning to the field. Authorities emphasized that the operation will not be abandoned, with Kennedy stating they are working under the assumption that the boy is still alive.
