Trump Threatens Military Action Against Hamas Amid Gaza Violence

President Donald Trump poses for a photo with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before he boards Air Force One at Ben Gurion International Airport, Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, near Tel Aviv, as Israel's President Isaac Herzog watches at left.

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Hamas on Thursday, declaring that the United States would “have no choice but to go in and kill them” if internal bloodshed in Gaza continues.

The statement, posted on his Truth Social account, comes just days after a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas went into effect. Despite the agreement, reports indicate that Hamas has carried out violent crackdowns against rival factions, leaving dozens dead in recent days.

Trump, who earlier downplayed the violence as Hamas targeting “a couple of gangs that were very bad,” signaled that his patience had run out. “They will disarm, and if they don’t do so, we will disarm them, and it’ll happen quickly and perhaps violently,” he said.

The White House has not clarified what specific actions might follow the warning, but the remarks mark a sharp escalation in rhetoric as Washington monitors the fragile situation in Gaza.
