RCMP Clarify Findings in Sullivan Children Search

Searchers return to the base camp after looking for six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan, two children missing in Lansdowne Station, N.S., Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed that recent search efforts connected to the case of the missing Sullivan children yielded items that were ultimately deemed unrelated to the investigation. Authorities emphasized that while the discovery initially raised hopes, forensic analysis and follow-up inquiries determined the materials had no connection to the children’s disappearance.

RCMP officials reassured the public that the search remains active and that investigators continue to pursue credible leads. They urged community members to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in locating the children.

The case has drawn significant public attention, with local residents and volunteer groups joining in coordinated search efforts. Despite setbacks, the RCMP reiterated their commitment to finding answers and bringing closure to the Sullivan family.
