Ukraine to Acquire 100 French Rafale Jets, Zelenskiy Announces

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has declared that Ukraine will obtain 100 French-made Rafale fighter jets, marking a significant step in strengthening the country’s air defense capabilities.

The Rafale, produced by Dassault Aviation, is a versatile multirole combat aircraft known for its advanced avionics, long-range strike capacity, and adaptability in both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. If delivered, this acquisition would represent one of the largest single orders of Rafales ever announced, underscoring France’s deepening military cooperation with Ukraine.

Zelenskiy emphasized that the deal would bolster Ukraine’s ability to defend its skies amid ongoing conflict, while also symbolizing strong European solidarity.
