Senior Russian General Hospitalized After Moscow Shooting

A high‑ranking Russian military figure, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev, was shot in Moscow and urgently taken to a hospital, according to early reports circulating within Russia. The attack occurred inside a residential building, where an unidentified assailant allegedly opened fire before escaping the scene.

Alekseyev, known for his long‑standing role within Russia’s military intelligence structure, reportedly survived the shooting, though officials have not released details about his condition. Investigators have opened an attempted‑murder case and are working to identify the shooter.
