Iran has launched a new wave of attacks on U.S. Gulf allies, escalating an already volatile regional conflict. Israel announced that it has killed two of Iran’s top security officials in a series of overnight strikes, marking a significant escalation in an already volatile regional conflict. According to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, the operation targeted Ali Larijani, Iran’s top security official and secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, along with Gen. Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Revolutionary Guard’s Basij paramilitary force.

The strikes, which reportedly took place in Tehran, are part of a broader campaign aimed at weakening Iran’s senior leadership. Iranian state media has not yet confirmed the deaths, though officials indicated that a statement may be forthcoming.

In response, Tehran launched additional missiles and drones toward Israel and neighboring Gulf states, signaling that the conflict shows no signs of easing. The killings follow earlier attacks that have already shaken Iran’s leadership structure, intensifying fears of further regional destabilization.
