Pakistan Weighs Hosting Role as U.S. Proposal Reaches Tehran

A senior Iranian official has confirmed that Pakistan has relayed a U.S. proposal aimed at easing regional tensions, adding that both Pakistan and Turkey are being considered as potential hosts for future diplomatic talks. According to the official, Tehran is reviewing the proposal and remains open to dialogue provided that its national interests and regional security concerns are respected.

Pakistan’s involvement underscores its longstanding ties with both Washington and Tehran, positioning it as a possible bridge at a moment of heightened geopolitical strain. Turkey, another influential regional actor, has also expressed willingness to facilitate discussions.

While details of the U.S. proposal have not been publicly disclosed, the Iranian official suggested that any meaningful progress will depend on mutual respect and concrete steps toward de-escalation. The possibility of talks hosted by either Pakistan or Turkey signals that diplomatic channels remain active despite ongoing tensions.
