Woods’ Post‑Crash Call to President Trump Revealed in Bodycam Footage

Tiger Woods is taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies following a car crash in Jupiter Island, Fla., Friday, March 27, 2026.

Newly released police bodycam footage shows that Tiger Woods phoned President Donald Trump moments after his SUV overturned in a rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida. The video, obtained by TMZ and released by multiple outlets, captures Woods walking away from deputies while on his phone before being called back to the crash scene.

According to the footage, Woods can be heard ending the call with, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye,” before telling officers, “I was just talking with the president.” Authorities noted that Woods appeared impaired, with reports describing lethargic movements, glassy eyes, and dilated pupils. Deputies later recovered hydrocodone pills from his pocket, and Woods refused a urinalysis test despite blowing 0.0 on a breathalyzer.

The crash occurred after Woods’ vehicle clipped a truck’s trailer, causing his SUV to flip onto its side. No injuries were reported. President Trump later expressed concern, calling Woods “an amazing person” and a close friend. Woods has since pleaded not guilty to DUI‑related charges and stated he will step away to seek treatment and focus on his health.
