Ingredients:

  • 1 cup light or dark corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecans
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep-dish pie crust

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Stir in the pecans.
  4. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the center reaches 200°F (95°C). The pie is done when the center springs back when lightly tapped.
  6. If the crust is browning too quickly, cover the edges with foil.
  7. Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
