On Palm Sunday, a day of religious significance for many Ukrainians, the northeastern city of Sumy was struck by two Russian ballistic missiles, resulting in the deaths of at least 34 individuals, including two children, and injuring 117 others. The attack targeted the heart of the city, leaving behind a scene of devastation with destroyed vehicles and buildings.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strike, calling for a strong international response and labeling the act as terrorism.
