Trump, Blair, and Kushner Confer on Gaza’s Future Amid Ongoing Conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump convened a high-level policy meeting at the White House on Wednesday to address the ongoing war in Gaza and explore post-war strategies. Joining him were former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former White House Middle East envoy Jared Kushner, both long involved in regional diplomacy.

According to a senior White House official, the discussion covered humanitarian aid delivery, the ongoing hostage crisis, and potential frameworks for Gaza’s reconstruction once hostilities cease. U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff described the administration’s developing plan as “very comprehensive” and reflective of Trump’s “humanitarian motives”.

The meeting comes seven months into Trump’s second term, during which his campaign pledge to swiftly end the conflict has yet to materialize. A brief ceasefire early in his presidency collapsed in March, and the humanitarian situation in Gaza has since worsened, with international concern mounting over food shortages and civilian casualties.
