Biden Recovering After Skin Cancer Surgery Amid Ongoing Health Battle

                                                Former US President Joe Biden

Former U.S. President Joe Biden recently underwent Mohs surgery to remove cancerous cells from his skin, his spokesperson confirmed. The precise date of the procedure was not disclosed, but recent public appearances showed a visible scar on his forehead. Mohs surgery is a meticulous technique in which thin layers of skin are removed and examined until no cancer cells remain, often used for treating basal cell carcinoma and other common skin cancers.

The operation comes just months after Biden, 82, revealed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive, hormone-sensitive form of prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones. Despite the seriousness of his condition, Biden has expressed optimism about his treatment and recovery.

Biden has a history of skin cancer treatment, including the removal of a basal cell carcinoma during a routine physical in 2023 while serving as president. His wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has also undergone similar procedures. The Biden family has faced multiple cancer battles over the years, including the loss of their son Beau to brain cancer in 2015.

According to his team, the former president is recovering well from the latest surgery and continues to receive medical care for his prostate cancer.
